24 Hours with REAL Cowboys | Did we make it?
This story begins in southern Utah, where the MadLad Films crew wrapped filming at Trail Hero before joining our friend Casey and his pack of mules for a one-of-a-kind overnight ride. From loading gear at sundown to trekking into Confluence Park, the journey led through historic river crossings, wildlife conservation lands, and open desert views—capturing what 24 hours with real cowboys looks like.
With nothing but bedrolls, cast-iron cooking, and starlight above, we experienced the beauty of the Virgin River basin the way locals have for generations. The mules carried our gear, drones filmed from above, and the crew shared stories of history—Father Escalante’s 1776 expedition, Native trade, and pioneer settlements that shaped the region. When campfires lit up the night, potatoes hit the coals, and the stars stretched endlessly, it became clear why these rides are timeless.
Filmed and produced by MadLad Films founders Ethan Kaiser and Graham Ladd, this adventure blends off-road grit with cowboy tradition in a way few ever see. If your brand, event, or outfitter wants cinematic videography that showcases landscapes, people, and culture with clarity and authority, MadLad Films transforms trips like these into event marketing videos that inspire audiences and leave a lasting impression.
